Place History:
The Milwaukee Public Museum began life as the German-English Academy. The Academy's headmaster encouraged learning though doing, so his students collected many natural specimens from the area. The current building finished construction in 1962, and continued to be a premiere place of learning for almost a century. Permanent exhibits of the Museum include the Hebior Mammoth, the Streets of Old Milwaukee, the Third Planet, and the Puelicher Butterfly Wing. Post-Outbreak, the Museum is the Curators' stronghold.
